Grès kochon kwit kochon is the Haitian proverb Mark Schuller uses to describe financial autonomy: the ability of an organization to sustain itself from its own resources rather than cooking in someone else's pot. In the vault, it matters because it gives a Haitian-language concept for one of the core stakes in the critique of NGO rule.
