Morne-Rouge was the northern mountain parish and upland zone where delegates gathered in August 1791 to finalize plans for revolt and where the nearby Bois Caïman Ceremony entered historical memory. In the Fick-Dubois reading now adopted in the vault, it should be treated as an organizing landscape, not just a ceremonial backdrop.
