Ranaway, On the 2d July last, from the subscriber, their Negro Fellow, SPENCER, about 29 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high or there abouts, a little bow legged, round shouldered and has a stoppaged (sic) in his speech; is generally known about town, having formerly been the property of Mr. Thomas Y. Smith; being a Virginian born and a very plausible fellow, he may want to get a passage to some of the norther states, or may forge a pass for himself, to go into the country, as he can both write and read; having a quantity of clothes it is impossibly (sic) to say what he may have on.
