Marronnage — Fugitive Slave Advertisements

Sept 14, 1812 Absconded from the subscriber, a Mulatto named CHARLES, alias CHARLES COLLIER, about twenty-two years of age or less, bow-legged, and about five feet four or five inches in height. Having been a Tailor, and being accustomed to Kingston, Spanish-Town and Falmouth, it is supposed he will endeavour to hire himself in one of those towns. Also, a Negro Man, named WILL, about the same age and stature, a Congo, speaks very indifferently.
