St. James’s Workhouse, Dec 7, 1811 ESCAPED, from the Boatswain of this workhouse at day-dawn today, during a scuffle with a certain refractory negro, who the evening before had stabbed in the shoulder the said Boatswain, a negro woman named VENUS, of the Coromantee country, the property of Alexander Edgar, Esq. She is 4 feet 11 inches high, and brand-marked F, and figure ] four above both shoulders.
