Marronnage — Fugitive Slave Advertisements

Port-Royal, August 21, 1801. RAN AWAY from the subscriber, about six months ago, a Mulatto Man, named DANIEL; he is supposed to be working on board of ships in the Harbour: Also absconded, about a fortnight ago, a Negro Woman, named JUBA, better known by the name of LINMOAS [inc] JUBA in Spanish-Town, and has been seen on an estate in Withywood. Forty Shillings will be paid on delivery of each of the above runaways, and a further reward of Ten Pounds on conviction of the person by whom harboured.
