100 Dollars Reward, WILL be given immediately by the Subscriber to any person, who will arrest and bring before him, or in any jail of this Territory, an English Negro by the name of THOMAS, who is suspected of having murdered JOSEPH PARRAN, an Italian, his master, in the Pirogue or canoe, in which the latter was carrying coasting trade and pacotille. The said Negro was usually accompanying his master in the same canoe, in which the murder has been committed during the night of the 13 and 14th instant, opposite to the plantation of Jean Tirtuit, in this Parish, and on the left side of the river. The said Negro escaped when the murder of which he is suspected, had been perpetrated ; and it appears that, in order to runaway more easily, he has stolen a pirogue or canoe belonging to M. George Fosster[inc]. Parish St. James, Acadian County, June 15th 1812. D. TUREAUD. Parish Judge.
