200 Pst. de Récompense.
LE SOUSSIGNÉ, habitant à la Fausse-Rivière, a acheté un Nègre
brut à l’encan de M. François Duplessis, qui a été fait chez
M. Decuir, à la Fausse-Rivière, le 28 Juin 1806 ; ledit nègre est
parti marron le 25 Juillet de la même année, & a été attrapé le
15 Août 1806, & conduit dans la prison du Bâton-Rouge, il est
reparti marron pendant qu’on le menait à son maître, on a eu
de ses nouvelles en Décembre 1809 ; il fut conduit dans les prisons
d’Iberville, se disant libre, il a limé ses fers, & est reparti.
--- Ladite récompense sera donnée, aussitôt que le soussigné aura ledit nègre en sa possession, à celui qui l’aura arrêter,
l’aura fait conduire dans la prison la plus voisine, & en aura
averti le propriétaire, ou le lui aura remis en main propre. Si
ledit propriétaire ne se trouve point d’argent pour le moment,
il fera un billet à un mois avec bon endoseur. --- Ledit nègre
est Sénégalais de nation, se nomme Pyrame, est âgé de trente à
trente quatre ans, taille de cinq pieds cinq à six pouces, picoté
de figure, une dent cassée sur le devant de la mâchoire d’en
haut. Dans le cas où il serait arrêté dans le voisinage de la Nlle-
Orléans, on peut le remettre à M. Jean Lanna, en ville.

200 Dollars Reward.
The subscriber having purchased a new negro at the auction
of M Francis Duplessis, which took place at Mr. Decuir’s at
Fausse Rivière on the 26th of June 1806, gives notice that this
negro ran away on the 25th of July following, and having been
taken up on the 15th of August ; and confined at Bâton-Rouge,
escaped when they were conducting him to the owner’s plantation
; that having been taken in December 1809, although
he has said he was free, and brought to the jail of Iberville, he
has filed off his fetters, and ran away again. Any person who
will stop and secure him in the nearest jail, giving notice to
the owner, will receive the said reward as soon as the said negro
is delivered to his master at Fausse Rivière, or to M. Jean
LANNA at New Orleans, if he is taken near the city.
If the subscriber cannot pay immediately, he will give a note
with an approved endorsement, payable within a month. The
said negro was born in Senegal, by the name of PYRAME,
30 or 34 years old, five feet five or six inches tall, much pitted
with the small pox on his face, having an upper tooth broken.
